The bottle of wine was $75 and the app was $20.
That wasn’t worth a couple hours of my time sitting at a table and never getting to eat IMO.

People were making way too big a deal out of this - given what you said about the service, the restaurant probably didn't even know you had left until they were closing up and had an extra ticket - probably about $30 in cost of food to them.
Definitely a good idea to reach out, makes sure management was aware of the issue, but I would have been extremely surprised if they had actually requested you pay the bill.

Leo landed on his feet pretty well after that dumpster fire. He gets paid more, works less, travels etc...
I do still like the new gm at sullys but i think he needs to be in the kitchen

I love Leighton and said to myself he is the only one that could get the job and I would still go. I'm still not sure how he will handle front of the house when problems arise BUT I don't really have to worry about that anymore. I have a feeling football season will be a shite show at the beginning.

Should have found someone and paid for the wine, but at a certain point if they are making that little effort they must not want the $$ that bad. The only time I've done this was on a much smaller scale. I got a take out order from a restaurant that wasn't ready when I got there, and had to remind them about things like salads it was supposed to come with etc. They ran my card and gave it back to me with no receipt. 5 minutes passed and I had to flag down a worker and let her know I was still waiting on a receipt to sign. Another 10 minute pass and I remind them again. After awhile I said frick it and left. Never got charged and I put that totally on them.

Order a bottle of Opus One or Dominus next time and just enjoy the wine and the company and worry about the food when it comes.

you got suckered..... i could put 2 glasses of wine in front of you and you wouldnt be able to tell the difference between a $100 glass or the $6 dollar glass.

yep, the old lady is in the wine bidness and handles some high end shite, does this all the time to show that price of the juice doesn't always correlate to the quality of it

Opus is overrated. You won't see me buying it at it's price range. I tend not to order wine from Napa at restaurants only because the wine is always more expensive just because it's from Napa.

One of my favorite wines is the $6 trader Joe's wine. Better than most expensive wines I've tried.
