frick drinking cheap wine. I always hated wine until a friend turned me onto wines like Opus One, Dominus, and Cain Five.
I bet I could give you a $20 bottle next to opus and you wouldn’t be able to tell the difference.

What is great is if you go to italy, always order the table wine. it is 10euros a pitcher and is excellent. I did some research and it usually is the failed batches of the very high end wineries around the area.
And when i say failed, i mean when what wine graders come in and taste, it doesnt meet the 5 star or 4 star ratings that are shooting for so that sell it as table wine. Unless you are really trained in tasting you wont tell the difference.

I'm calling bullshite. Who would sit for an hour waiting for someone to take your order?
I agree with this. Recently I went to City Pork and we sat for a good 10 minutes before I finally flagged down a passing waitress to see if our server could make a little time for us.
That 10 minutes felt like eternity.

One of my favorite wines is the $6 trader Joe's wine. Better than most expensive wines I've tried.

You also don't want to be charged with shoplifting. Just let it ride and forget about it.

i could put 2 glasses of wine in front of you and you wouldnt be able to tell the difference between a $100 glass or the $6 dollar glass.
I can easily tell the difference between Opus One or Silver Oak and any $6 house wine.
Now a $10 glass of Sterling Vineyards Cabernet - not a big difference but detectable.

I think restaurants understand they have to deliver a minimum level of service, or make it right if they don’t. The profit loss on what you consumed is of no consequence relative to lost business due to bad reviews.
You would think so, but not always.
I have not set foot in the Buffalo Wild Wings on Bluebonnet in BR in about 15 years because of a manager "not making it right".
Went in on a Wednesday around 10:00 pm. I think it was 50 cent wing night or something. Not very crowded, but definitely still open. Waitress takes our order and brings back drinks. Then 30 minutes go by and not only do we not have the apps or the meal, but we haven't even seen our waitress. I go to the bar and ask if anyone had seen her and the response is "Oh, she clocked out and went home". So she must have taken our order home with her...
The manager comes out, apologizes, and promises to rush our order. It still takes another 10 minutes to get the food. The manager then tells me that he was going to take 15% off the final bill due to the inconvenience.
It was only a total bill of about $20, but that is bullshite. "Making it right" to me would have been comping the meal. This, coupled with general crappy experiences there prior to this one, was the last straw. Haven't been back.

Yes, I would. My condescending shite-head friend already tried this bullshite on me.
