Your hypothetical isn't an explanation. It's not that hard. He's operating on the best info he has. There's no perfect answer when you're dealing with incomplete information.

I am guessing you dont know any women have had recent miscarriages.

I've known several. Maybe I misunderstood your post. I'm confused why you bolded "was" as if to say she was telling the truth because she was pregnant before the miscarriage.

I know, I'm talking about why would the pharmacist carry the drug if he was morally opposed to giving it out.

Its Walgreens. I doubt he has a choice. Multiple pharmacists work there.

Yeah Walgreens will have most everything and they probably all carry the exact same stuff, just maybe in different quantities.

My real point is that women who have just had miscarriages say crazy incoherent things. Theyre extremely traumatized and a lot are mentally unstable. Relying on them to give coherent information instead of speaking to another professional is an interesting way of making an ethical decision.

I took the exact medication she took for another reason. I was not pregnant when I took it.

It’s not just used for abortions.

It's not an abortion. What ethical issue is there? There's a dead thing in her that needs to get out.

Out of curiosity, what was it used for? It is the stuff that causes severe contractions, right?

Some people consider doing anything outside of the natural progression of a miscarriage an abortion. Even to the point of it endangering the life of the mother.

I had to do it as a prep for a medical procedure.

It causes your cervix to contract/dilate. It isn’t fun to take.

So, is Scruffy still a shitty poster?

What a shitty thing to say. Some of you people are pathetic. Did she handle it the best way, no. But considering what she is/was going through it's obviously an emotional response from her, and not a thought out one. But yeah, nutjob.

Maybe they're should be a law against pharmacists playing doctor and deciding on their own whether someone actually needs the medicine they've been prescribed.

Pill mills and junkies would rejoice!

My brother in law is a Walgreens pharmacist in Mississippi and he turns away opiate prescriptions constantly.

I don't agree with it, but some people hold very strong convictions about these things.

what a pussy society we have become. How hard would it be to walk next door to the Rite Aid and get it filled. cause you know there is one next door.

Who cares this PharmD denied it. He can do what he wants with his licence.

Why is it his business to concern himself with what/why the woman was getting those drugs?

Order comes in, you fill it and move on.
