My wife and I had the unfortunate experience of no heartbeat at our 20week ultrasound. The only way to get the dead fetus out without surgery was this medication. It was not a pleasant choice to make, but a choice between us and our doctor. The pharmacist needs to do his fricking job, or lose is license. It's non of his damn business what the doctor prescribes someone. Check for allergies, reactions, and dosages and shut the frick up and get you moral dilemma out of my medical chart. Maybe he'll chose not to give hospice meds out next time as well, POS

I mean why does he care? If a doctor prescribed it, why not simply fill the bottle? It's not his job to know what is wrong with the woman or why she is taking the drug.

Order comes in, you fill it and move on.
because thats what that person went to school on. Pharmacists turn down drugss all the time because patents go to multiple doctors and get a comso concoction of pills that are not good together.

Hell a buddy of mine works at a hospital and wont fill this one doctors set of meds he is prescribing, because he says they are bad for the patient. The doctor has come down multiple times bitching at him and taken it to the board and the board sides with the pharmacist.

I think a lot of people on here dont think about it but Pharmacists are Doctors of medication. A lot of times they know more about the effects of meds on patients more so than doctors do.

Now that leads to does Walgreens get rid of this pharmacist. And sure i feel they have every right to.

He did.

It is precisely his business. Pharmacists are not required to blindly follow doctors' orders. In fact, they are expected to act as a check on the doctor's prescription and can be held liable if they fail to do so.

his job is looking at meds and how they react to the patients body. So if one pharmacist doesnt want to fill it, GOT TO SOME ONE ELSE!

that isn't what appears to have happened here...

He should leave his religious opinions at home.

but it isnt. This board, and i believe you, sure didi get in an uproar when the gay couple sued the jewish baker for not baking the gay cake.

This is similar. The DOCTOR of MEDICINE didnt want to fill a drug. OK Go to someone who will.

These are the same people that would bitch and sue if their significant other took a drug that had a contraindication with another drug and killed her.

They would blame the pharmacist. But yet these same people say just fill what the damn doctor writes. There is a reason these people go to 6-8 years of school and it is not to just push pills

It wasn’t a decision based on how she would react to the medicine. It was his personal morals.

No, it is, because it is hard and a massive inconvenience to have to call your doctor back for them to send your prescription to another pharmacy
