so by your quote of the article, This wasnt life saving medicine like many are claiming.
Considering the alternative to the pills was a surgical procedure to remove the fetus, this medicine could have been life saving.

Arteaga, who lives in Phoenix, Arizona, received an email Wednesday evening, saying her Misoprostol was ready for pickup at her local Walgreens. But, when she went to pick it up Thursday night, the pharmacist on duty refused to give her the drug.
“He had it in his hand and refrained from giving it to me," Arteaga explained
He didn't refuse to fill a prescription. It was filled.
He refused to give it to her which is a dick move.

Legally he is ok
Depends on what you mean by "legally". I think his board of pharmacy will have a word with him about his understanding of medicine and physiology.

No one is arguing what you think they are arguing
You keep building little strawmen
here is one of the most recent.
quote:SO they are agreeing that they are not doing their job so in turn the pharm doesnt have a right to deny this.
Pharmacist is an idiot. Do your damn job.

You're an idiot.
There is plenty of room for pro life OBGYN practitioners.

I think people are saying that while claiming an opposition to filling the drug on moral grounds is within his legal right, the pharmacist's reasoning here when claiming a "moral opposition" is completely retarded.

How is it abortion? The baby died. Or did I miss a lot?
It wasnt. The pharmacist didnt feel like calling the doctor and verifying the baby was dead, so he just refused to fill the prescription on the chance this could have been an abortion.

So do you think the pharmacist at your local Walgreens knows your full medical history?
He asked her is she was pregnant....she said yes. He refused.
He has no way to know for sure what is going on. She could be lying to him for all he knows. All he has to go on is that she has said she is pregnant.
He knows this med can be given to terminate a pregnancy. Again....he has the right to refuse as long as follows policy and arrange some for it to be filled by someone else. Which he did.

One person claimed.
there were 3 options: Surgery, Let Nature take its course and the body will reject it at some point, take meds to help the body.
So tthe people claiming (more than one) are blowing this out of proportion to help their argument.

Maybe so.
But I have no idea why someone would put themselves in that situation.

"in a timely manner" though?

Lifeless as in void of life as in dead.
You can’t kill something that’s already dead.
No shite.
I forgot to end it with the proper punctuation.
Sry for butchering the ?
He should have done his job and gave her the pill. It's none of his concern when a doctor writes a script.

which to my point earlier in this thread
he would have to deny this medicine every time to be consistent

He will argue he had reason to think he was going to be responsible for ending a life by giving this medication.
Hes going to claim he didnt know she wasnt pregnant.

He said he wouldn't fill for ethical reasons. Unless I missed a follow up article he did not mention abortion to her or lecture her on abortion. Am i missing something?

I'd argue he didn't do due diligence if I were a board member. A phone call would have prevented all of this. "I was busy" is not an excuse.
