She even admitted on CNN that he offered to her right when she was still at Walgreens to send the prescription to another location to be filled.
I would say that is a timely manner.
Again....there are a ton of Walgreens in PHX metro. This isn’t a rare mediation. It has several uses. Any Walgreens would likely have this med in stock.

Maybe so.
But I have no idea why someone would put themselves in that situation
You don't have any idea why someone who's pro life would want to spend a career helping deliver babies?
You have to be trolling, you can't really be this dumb.

did you see that 2nd option the woman had? And im the schmuck.
Yes. You're a schmuck.
There are risks associated with the C&D surgery, like with every surgery, but also a risk that something could go wrong and the woman wouldn't be able to get pregnant again.
And the risk for letting nature do it's thing is infection.
Most people choose the medicine because it forcing the issue without surgery and lowers the possibility of infection.

I just think his reasoning is bullshite. Assuming that abortion is the reasoning behind his refusal, his reasoning is bullshite.

So do you think the pharmacist at your local Walgreens knows your full medical history?
He asked her is she was pregnant....she said yes. He refused.
He has no way to know for sure what is going on. She could be lying to him for all he knows. All he has to go on is that she has said she is pregnant.
He knows this med can be given to terminate a pregnancy. Again....he has the right to refuse as long as follows policy and arrange some for it to be filled by someone else. Which he did.
Policy doesn’t make it right.

My wife went through 4 miscarriages. After the second you become numb. Can i pcture my wife in that WAGs? She would have throat punched the Pharmacist AND been arrested for it. The pharmacist isn't in the wrong. Is he potentially insenesitive, yes.

Or deny it every time the woman said she was pregnant.
Again....I’ve taken this exact med, while not pregnant. I was not allowed to leave with the med until the pharmacist talked with me. And the first question he asked me was “Are you pregnant?”

They can be pro life. Just not so pro life that they put themselves in conflict with their convictions.
Or at least I don't understand why someone would want to do that.
This isn't hard to understand, but you haven't understood lots of things in this thread.

Why should he believe a woman or man that said "no"?

She did go to Walgreens. She contacted their corporate and went to the state pharmacy board.

'd argue he didn't do due diligence if I were a board member. A phone call would have prevented all of this. "I was busy" is not an excuse.
Maybe he figured sending the prescription to another pharmacy was much quicker than trying to get in touch with the physician.
Also....wasn’t she going to Walgreens in the evening? Which would make it even more difficult to get in touch with the dr?

for him, not for the customer

Pharmacists should absolutely retain the ability to reject or deny any prescription that they see fit, and it would be absolutely asinine to change that based on one dumbass who didn’t even follow his employer’s own protocols.
Thank you for understanding why this important, Scruffy! Apparently a lot of people don’t!
I disagree with this pharmacist, however if pharmacists didn’t have the ability to deny prescriptions- a lot of medical harm and drug diversion would not be prevented.
I deny prescriptions all the time that are errors or inappropriate based on information the presriber didn’t have and 99% of the time prescribers are grateful we didn’t fill it. If I catch a drug diversion situation, I need the right to decline that prescription.
Moral objections to filling prescriptions aren’t just related to women’s rights situations. Anyway, I believe this pharmacist blatantly violated his company policy and his co-workers would probably say he was a douche nozzle and are looking forward to him getting canned.
