Somehow I feel like these wont be your words if god forbid thid happens to your wife.
Yeah a completely rational person in a clear state would be slightly annoyed and go to the pharmacy next door. But in that moment she was nowhere near "rational," which is understandable. But yeah that makes her a "pussy" in that guy's words.

Cake baking and withholding potentially life savings medicine is slightly different, would you agree?

Agreed, but people on this board just want pharmacists to blindly follow what a doc says. OT for the win.

Should a doctor leave his religious opinions at home when a patient comes in wanting an abortion?
What about if a patient comes in wanting to be euthanized in states where that is legal? Should the doctor just leave his religious beliefs at home and go through with it?

It wasn’t a decision based on how she would react to the medicine. It was his personal morals.

There is a difference between being irrational and going on yelp, facebook, and cnn. Irrational vs attention whore.

I don’t think your GP is going to have to make that decision. And if a doctor works at an abortion clinic but morally opposes abortion, he isn’t the brightest.

No shortage of genii here who know better than someone who has a doctorate. I know this will shock some of them to the core, but believe it or not, physicians consult with pharmacists for their opinion.
Posted on 6/25/18 at 10:19 am to CarRamrod
I wasn’t arguing against that, just clarifying it wasn’t a medical opinion like you were implying.

He offered to send it to a different pharmacy or have her come in the next day when a different pharmacist was on.

Pharmacist is an idiot. Do your damn job. Probably the same person that bitches when welfare recipients come in to get their kids Medicaid scripts.

I'm not agreeing with them. Struggled with all of this myself. Don't search around the internet when going through this personally is probably my best advice....

Is he working in an abortion clinic? Of so, yes.

No my problem here is the pharmacist made an "ethical judgement" on very limited information.

Welcome to the real world. Happens every day. Guess what? Doctors do it too.
