Not nowadays.

You have to blame everyone else, not just the bad guys and girls.

Do something! Raise the age, have a fire watch person, the government will fix this. It really wasn't the kids fault.

This is decent start.

Now, what will we do to address the bigger issues around campus? You know, the actual people committing the crimes.

Does Reggie's being shut down stop this group from raping another girl they find drunk?

If she was 21, would they still have raped her?

I remember when it was Sport's the owner was Billy Stevens....fat arse with a red corvette who would pull up and act like he was the man.

GM was Darren who was a good guy. Are they still part of it along with J.L. across the street?

Darren and JL are partners in Reggie’s. JL also owns JL’s and Mikes.

Doesn't one dude have ownership in all the bars except one in Tigerland?

Then I'm torn. I've known Darren since high school....so close to 40 years and like him very much....even worked at Sport's in the late 80s at the door.

Now, J.L. .......Landry is a Supreme dick to everyone.....I might offer up my services to sue him out of principle alone for free.

That's hard to do if/when your place gets targeted as the place to be. Past efforts where decried as racist.

In the early/mid 2000's Mellow Mushroom opened off Burbank. For years it was simply just a college and, many times, family pizza place. Sometime around the late 2000's (maybe before) they started having "open mike/karaoke night" on Wednesdays. When it started it was more or less regulars. Then, it became more popular and attracted a ton of people who weren't LSU students. Not surprisingly, trouble then followed with fights and general ghetto rowdiness becoming commonplace...all culminating with a mob in the parking lot in 2019 with gunshots being fired. It wasn't long after that before the restaurant closed.

Basically a bard has to crackdown on such behavior immediately and constantly to send the message it is not going to be allowed. 25 years ago it wasn't uncommon to find 1/3rd (probably more) of the Reggies' crowd to not be LSU students. They kind of accepted that reputation and that of being the "underage" bar. Nothing truly (or at least publicly) awful came of that...until now.

Unless someone literally commits arson the city of Baton Rouge is at fault for letting it become section 8. Corrupt city officials and their shite zoning is the reason br is a dumb and will never recover

Any of them.

How about don't get wasted, whoever did that it is their fault.

How about don't rape people, whoever did that it is their fault.

I feel horrible for this girl and her family, however some new law isn't the answer.

Again, with Progressive leadership, symbolic words/actions are meant to not address the actual problems. We all know the answer.

Yeah, hang'em high.

But also if our parents, media, and culture would would step up, we would have a lot less problems.

Who? Perret? You mean the former deep snapper? He was a serious douche coming out of law school, one of the guys who used to work at Sport's asked me if I could get him on in New York back in the late 90s. Got him an interview and the partner who interviewed him called him something else after the interview....which was saying something with those guys
