Who knows the real story? No way they can't make rent, right?
ETA: Apparently this possibility has already been brought to the OT's attention. I just posted the news that the closing is official due to failure to pay rent.

Mike Butler, who owns the property, declined to give any details when reached by phone Tuesday.
Butler served an eviction notice on the current operators of the bar, giving them five days to vacate the property. The eviction notice says the lease was terminated due to failure to pay.
The current operator says this Saturday night, July 6, will be Bogie’s last night to be open for now. However, he hopes to eventually reopen in the same location.

Don't listen to them. This information that it's actually closing is new. The Notice to Vacate was on the front door and that was posted last week. The assumption was that the issue would get cleared up within a few days.
There's obviously more to this. Maybe a Chelsea's/Dave Remmetter type deal where they had a dispute about some repairs and subsequent falling out. who knows.
