Does this move AOC’s timeline up or down? I’m willing to bet there are more greenhouse gasses coming out of that thing than all the vehicles in the US.

Rumor is seismic activity is building up, and the elevation around the volcano has raised. Possibility for a St. Helens event.

It will only melt the ice if it's under a glacier.

Vatnajokull is the big glacier on the south side of the island. Before the time of seismographs, there are records of volcanic eruptions that happened underneath Vatna that never got through the ice. They were notices by the greatly increased outflow of water from under the glacier sometimes from places where streams hadn't been before.

I found it sort of mind blowing that not all volcanoes could break through snow and ice.
