LINK ]WDSU on the Brossett arrest "WITH INTERVIEW OF THE WITNESS"
How many of you thought the witness was going to look like this guy? I would be willing to bet anyone he was at the Duncan Plaza protest march for at least one day.
Nose ring CHECK
Neck tattoo DOUBLE CHECK
Flat Bill Hat in upward position TRIPLE CHECK
Two tone blonde/brown hair with mullet CHECK FOR THE WIN

Jared Brossett says he will seek treatment after DWI arrest: 'I want to sincerely apologize'
He's still a piece of shite.....
I want to see the Toxicology report
quote:
"The last 48 hours have been very difficult for me and my family," Brossett said. "Due to the series of events that have recently occurred, after discussions with my primary care physician and my family, I am entering into an in-patient treatment program today.
"I want to sincerely apologize to my family, particularly my mother, my colleagues, the citizens of New Orleans, all those involved and everyone that I have disappointed. To all those that I have let down, I cannot express how profoundly sorrowful I am. During this extremely difficult time I ask for your prayers as I commit myself to the hard work of becoming a better person."

Who did he call? They should get access to his cell phone to find out who he called first and what did he say. He obviously looked drunk. Why no field sobriety test? There is way to much to this story than to just let it be swept under the rug. He should be treated the same as any other citizen. They need to look at their public vehicle policy. How many other DUI's did he have that never were reported.
Agreed that reporters will need to keep pressing on details.
Things like how long the other dui offenders that night spent in jail would be interesting to know.

Obviously not a lawyer, but from what I understand the game plan here is that the blood test happens hours later than the refused breathalyzer would have taken place. In the time elapsed, the hope would be that the liver goes to work and ones BAC drops below the the legal limit. Of course, the prosecutor will bring up the metabolic rate of alcohol, and theoretically what that means his BAC would have been able the time of the accident, but if the only available evidence shows a BAC below 0.08, it is much easier to argue innocence than with a failed breathalyzer test. At least, that's my understanding.
Source: Never been so much as pulled over for DUI, so I know nothing.
Good strategy typically if you gots the funds, but he was drunk enough that his BAC wouldn’t have dropped below 0.08 until the following evening

1) if it was a city phone yes, private phone no
2) he had injuries was taken to the hospital, where he refused a blood and breath teat. Was given and failed field sobriety test.
quote:
He failed a field sobriety test at the hospital, and was arrested after at least two officers reported smelling alcohol on his breath, according to sworn NOPD records obtained Monday.

Clearly pissed himself and drunk af, but the worst part of it is the guy talking in the video. Shoot that MF, he is seriously aggravating with his narrating.
