What was his plan once he offers the dog a treat? Call animal control?

Never said it was. But it's certainly not surprising when she goes into hysterical Karen mode then calls the police and lies about the African American male who tried to give her unleashed dog treats.

I don't really get how his Facebook post makes him look bad. Assuming this part of the story is true, it in no way justifies her screaming to the 911 operator that an African American man is threatening her.

first off, this bitch is crazy...

but this is a very stupid thing to say in a confrontation with a stranger, especially a crazy arse white lady.

"ME: Look, if you’re going to do what you want, I’m going to do what I want, but you’re not going to like it.
HER: What’s that?
ME (to the dog): Come here, puppy!"

You tell some old boy in the south you're about to do something to his dog that he wont like and you're probably heading for an arse whipping.

I agree she’s an idiot if she actually called the police like that but this whole she tried to get him killed is why I never take this stuff seriously I mean it’s so ridiculous

Saying she tried to get him killed is a stretch, but a white lady calling 911 saying a black man is aggressively threatening her is 9/10 times not a good situation for the black man to end up in.

I honestly don’t know how I feel about this situation. It’s tough.

If that’s how it went down, she’s a POS and should apologize. Then face some trouble for filing a false police report. But losing her job and being publicly shamed on a world wide stage? A bit much.

My bigger problem with this incident is social media and the media drawing the conclusion from this one situation is an indictment of nationwide racism. Nope, that’s dumb and doesn’t hold water.

She really gave the dog back?

I haven't read all 9 pages of this thread, but saw that your question only had one reply, which didn't answer your question.

"Internet sleuths digging into Ms. Cooper’s life found an Instagram profile of her cocker spaniel mix and began sharing old photos documenting injuries the dog had suffered.

By nightfall, she had surrendered the dog, Henry, to the group she had adopted him from two years prior, according to a Facebook post by the group, Abandoned Angels Cocker Spaniel Rescue."

Social media is here to stay. Just assume that anything you say or do could be filmed and go viral. You have no choice but to accept the consequences if you start acting the fool. Crazy bitches like this are why I don't frick with white women. Whether it's metoo or bird watching in the park, I'm not interested in dealing with some lying, crazy woman. It's not so much a question of racism but entitlement. White women are the most entitled, you see how quickly it goes sideways when they are challenged.

interesting. I don’t doubt that. and don’t fault you for that.

As a white man, when it comes to black women my interactions with them aren’t all that different from what you describe. I always try to be polite and respectful regardless of age, color, gender, but I generally avoid interaction with black women as a whole because I’m afraid of being in put on social media and having my life ruined because of preconceived notions that all white men are all secretly deep down racist.

It’s a shame both sides feel this way.

I'm a white dude. I've never had any issues with or fear of dealing with black women. They've always seemed to be more at ease with me (and vice versa) than what might be typical. But I'm also married to a black woman so I'm comfortable socially with a WM/BW dynamic.

White women are crazy as frick about their dogs. They call them "Fur Babies", dress them up, and take them into stores where they have no damn business.

When this dude tells her that he's are going to do something to her dog she "wont like", he had to know he was escalating the situation...

Whether he intended it as a threat or not... it was interpreted as such and probably would have been by a number of posters here if that was said about their dog/wife/kids.

It’s not quite swatting but she did say he was threatening her.

She should definitely be charged with a misdemeanor if she really did call 911 which im not sure she did because the dog is still alive

Nothing filmed shows that he threatened her, but nobody except him and her know what happened before he started recording. The whole interaction is just weird. She was pretty wound up when he started filming so I'm guessing there is more to the story. I'd like to here her side of it and explain how he threatened her. It seems odd that she would just make up something about him threatening her...though I wouldn't put that behavior past a Karen like her - her call with the cops seems deceptive.

Like others, I'm tired of this bullshite making headlines.

Where is the story on this? Her claiming that he threatened her makes more sense now.

ETA never mind. I found it. This whole thing should be a non story. God I hate the media.

Wait did both of these people have the last name of Cooper? Seems suspicious. Has anyone looked into I’d they were married and it was a domestic dispute?

It's nonsensical to say he wasn't aware that filming her would make the problem worse, he knew this.

I mean, do you blame him when she's threatening to falsely report him to the police?

I'd want video showing her acting crazy and me doing nothing wrong if I was in this guy's shoes. It'll help a lot if the cops are actually called.

How this should have gone down

HIM: Ma'am can you please put your dog back on their leash? Pets are required to be on a leash in the ramble.

HER: Oh sure thing - I'll do that now.

HIM: Thank you - have a great day.

HER: You too.

Curious why people downvoted my post showing the guy's side of this very important national story.

The woman seems like your typical hypocrite leftist. She thought for sure the black man would run away at the threat of calling the cops on "an African American man" because she thinks the standard response by the cops would have been to just shoot the guy and sprinkle crack on him. She probably would have preached about no justice no peace to her other hypocrite friends if the bird watching, dog luring black man did end up getting shot.

Frankly, the dude is almost surely insufferable as well, not to mention creepy. "You're not gonna like what is about to happen" followed by pulling out "treats" for the dog and whistling it over. Then bragging about the whole thing?

Bunch of fricking weirdos up there.

Yeah, that's not okay. Crying and lying to the cops about your life being threatened puts them on high alert when they arrive on the scene.
Didn't read through 9 pages, so I apologize as it was probably covered, but why are we assuming she lied?

It's alleged he threatened the dog by calling it over and telling her she wouldn't like what he was going to do next.

I don't know if that's true, but point is, you can't just believe the person filming because it's not like they're going to film and make public the parts that may make them look bad.
