That is PC in a few simple answers to a prosecutor's direct examination.
Exactly my point. An LEO can come up with just about any reason to search a car, which is the problem.

I agree somewhat, but they shouldn't do it all the time and should have some standards as to what % of stops can use this tactic. It keeps us all safer. The ends justify the means IMO.

Agreed that there may be a general problem there, but talking about existing law and this case.... What the officer did is legal. Maybe not correct but legal.

"Why are you mad?"
"Please put out that cigarette, if you would."
"Now you need to get out the car."
"Now you are under arrest."
Cop needs Discipline. This is in no way acceptable. If it is legal, we need to re-examine legality.
Cop is not responsible for her murder, that is on her.

that's what he says. who knows if that's even true. based on the way he acted, and then then the fact he tried to cover up some of it, i tend to not believe him.

a lot of times the "warning" and the "ticket" are the same piece of paper just a different box checked.

She'd likely avoided arrest if she would have simply complied with the officer's requests. I've said it before, and I will say it again: Cops are, for the most part, douche bags who act like they are above everyone else. Even so, how dumb do you have to be to fight with a guy that has a gun and a badge? Just listen to them and you will most likely be on your way,....
ETA: not all law enforcement is as I described above-just the ones that we are most likely to deal with..
