1) how does she know he didn't have a gun

2) she sounds extremely calm considering

3) If it was my husband I don't know if I'd think to record the situation

Confront them is what I posted (Guessed)...maybe she knew his frame of mind and knew his level of desperation...?

It's pretty obvious...if you have a weapon and drop it, you will get arrested. If you have a weapon and don't drop it and continue to disobey the police, there is no guarantee that you will make it. At that point, the simplicity of the matter is it's them vs. you. And I'm with them every time.

Why not have his wife go to his vehicle (if she isn't afraid to) and try to get a hold of him or the situation. Why didn't she just go in there and try to get a hold him.
Because if he shoots her, those cops and that department are screwed for doing that to a citizen.

I was thinking the same thing. Especially, if he has a mental issue. And it sort of sounded like his wife knew it maybe...

Wonder if he had been suicidal before.

Not to be an insensitive prick, but if you're gonna say he was reading a book, is it really great to disclose that he had brain damage as well?

I'm just picturing a guy ignoring armed police while trying to sound out the words to the Lorax.

Not sure why the families lawyer would release it.

Not sure he didn't. Wouldn't be the first time someone didn't listen to their attorney.

OFFICER: [muffled]

RAKEYIA SCOTT: He better live. I swear, he better live. Yep, he better live. He better fricking live. He better live. Where is...He better fricking live, and I can’t even leave the damn...I ain’t going nowhere. I’m staying in the same damn spot. What the frick. That’s O.K. did you all call the police? I mean, did you all call an ambulance?

It sounds so simple because it is. Just comply and live to fight another day. I told my daughters (no pics) this twice yesterday and early this morning..Do whatever the cop tells you to do. Put him at ease. Make him comfortable. Cops are wired and edgy (AND I think it is getting worse, justifiably so)so help them to take a deep breath.

I got a speeding ticket 6 weeks ago....hell, I told him I was going to use my phone while he went to his car...

Told my 19 yo son and 15 1/2 year old daughter the same.

One night a week ago a State Trooper came to our home BEATING the door down. It was nearly 11pm. Went to the door with my husband and my son came out of his room. ST said that my son resembled who they were looking for ... aksed to see some id.

IN MY OWN HOME with the trooper in the door way I ASKED if my son could walk to his room and get his id. I wasn't taking any chances. Trooper was super nice .. but it scared the CRAP out of me.

So much for the book narrative.

Even the wife is saying "Don't do it Keith... don't do it!"

What was he doing Mrs. Scott?

If my wife acted like that dumb bitch did should I ever get dealt with by the cops, my ghost spirit would haunt her stupid arse rest of her life.

All seemed like an attention grab.
