Am I the only one who isn’t completely surprised, though? As someone who has lived in Ascension all my life, I can honestly say I’ve always considered that area better than others of Baton Rouge but not a “safe” area. Just close enough to the shithole that is Government St to have all the shitstains of Baton Rouge be in that general area at any given time. I know many here will disagree with me but I’ve always considered that area to be a little sketchy.
Really there are no areas of Baton Rouge that I would feel like I could let my guard down nowadays. The shootings and robberies have spread around too much over the past few years.

Broome is tough on crime as she has rerouted shootings from the Ardenwood area and moved them into new zones like College and Jefferson.

My employee and all her neighbors heard this but had no idea what happened. Baton Rudge has so many gun-toting white supremacists. I really need to move somewhere safer like Detroit or Somalia.

One of the best games to play if you get off the interstate at College is to predict what cars are turning right on Corporate and what cars will go straight.

But college and jefferson is only about a half mile from Govt
And people that live in Old Goodwood are basically the Lakeview of Baton Rouge. The constantly live with break ins and crime from north of govt and florida

Was eating on the patio at superior grill and heard them

There is no way you heard gunshots at College and Jefferson from Highland and Kenilworth, that is around 6 miles. According to google, gunshots can be heard from roughly a mile away depending on diff factors. The gunshots you heard are likely coming from around Kenilworth/Mag woods as there are lots of swampy areas back there and people prob shooting at random shite
