Corner of vets and cleary. The round building. What was it before Blockbuster? OT gurus to the rescue to settle a debate.

Fairly certain it was a bank before Blockbuster. I believe a First NBC.

I thought it was some sort of bank before and after Blockbuster, but I believe the before establishment precedes me. The top was a French Riviera for awhile.

The French Riviera’s the only thing I remember being there.

It was a discovery zone when I was growing up as a kid.

At least I think that was the name of it.

Are y'all talking about 3815 Veterans?
It's close to Cleary On Vets?

I worked at Leonard Krower in the late 70’s. The round building was not Leonard Krower.

Oh you meant this building on the corner with a 'round' entrance.

It was Leonard Krower since 1972 then Blockbuster in 1991.
There's no mention of that address in the Picayune other than the French Riviera Spa.
FWIW if you have a liberry card you can search the Times Picayune and Baton Rouge Advocate going back to 1800s. Pretty bad arse and free(well tax funded).

The building in question is at 3815 Veterans (on the North side of Veterans at Ferran)

3908 Veterans (like in the catalogue below) is on the South side of Veterans at the corner of Cleary…

Possibly they changed street addresses on Veterans since then but….
