I am sure, if they do claim to have a vaccine on Nov 1st, it would have nothing to do with an election only a few days later. frick that, I'd be more concerned about the vaccine that is available on Nov 1 than covid.

They won’t be injecting anyone on Nov 1st. The government is currently having the companies produce commercial quantities at risk on the government’s dime. The CDC wants to get the commercial material into the supply chain so when something is approved it’s available immediately. Anything that is in the supply chain that doesn’t get approved will be destroyed. I would expect they have it ready to go in early Nov, with the first approval some time in December.

I have to admit, I don’t think Trump gets enough credit for this. There’s no way normal bureaucrats would have had the foresight to fund at risk manufacturing at this scale. He has some smart people working for him.
