You immediately lose all sympathy from me when instead of seeking justice by holding the 4 different law agencies on scene for cowardly gross negligence resulting undoubtedly far more deaths, and instead choose to decide it’s “justice” to sue the corporation on earth with the single highest market cap of 3 trillion dollars while doubling down on leftist activism simply because doing the correct thing and taking civil action against the law would be bad optics for leftist causes since the DEI chief of police was clearly a token hire and because they have no money to give them.

So I guess James Brady's family should've sued Jodie Foster. This is ridiculous.

You are actively on the first person act of killing others in call of duty, SVU doesn’t provide that.
Most people can separate that morality and reality in their mind but what does it do for someone on the brink who is incentivized in the game to kill people
So we try to legally go after a form of entertainment that hundreds of millions of people enjoy because a handful of psychopaths might get triggered ?

you can call it what you want but going after the makers of a violent video game on the insinuation that it triggers psychopaths is the definition of going after a root cause.
What a stupid fricking take.

bullshite. They're going after money. Period. If they were truly going after root cause, it would be the local law enforcement agencies that sat on their asses while children were killed.

The correct take anyone sane would immediately understand. Instead we have an alarming amount of people who want to try to justify this kind of thing having to endlessly jump through logic loops twisting themselves into knots all for the reason being id guess because they had kids who were killed tragically which apparently gives them carte blanche for lifelong greed and stupidity

Does Call of Duty have a game mode where the enemy soldiers stand around and watch while the player runs in and kills as many civilians as possible?

Greedy lawyers and vengeful parents.

It would be horrible to lose my child, but all the money in the world won’t replace them… some people

I can tell you what I’m absolutely positive I wouldn’t do. And that’s be party to activities seeking to solely take advantage of my child’s death at the hands of nothing more than a random maniac, that is actually incredibly rare occurrences no matter what gun stat distortionanist like the Gifford institute claim, while these parasite seek to exploit my grief and pain for various causes and reasons being mostly but not only monetary and political reasons. I’d instead make sure the law agencies on scene were held accountable to hopefully spare anyone else in the future having to endure what I did.

I would definitely point the finger at violent video games and films versus the firearm manufacturers. The first two industries are making bank off the violence in their content which they know appeals to impressionable young teens while the gun manufacturers operate in a much more responsible environment.
So what about the millions of teens who play these games and watch these movies that don’t go on shooting sprees…..

Shhh just ignore that sweep it under the rug as it’s incredibly inconvenient and totally blows any credibility this never even attempted to have out of the water.

It's as stupid a belief now as it was almost 30 years ago when they were blaming Doom for Columbine.

It was a tragedy, yes. take the police dept to court? Absolutely.
There have been many precedents set that state law enforcement is not responsible or liable for their responsiveness in these situations.

I've played a shite ton of Donkey Kong in my life and I've never killed a gorilla or a plumber.

The reaction is the same fervor as when people talk about taking away weed.
It’s an addiction. It’s a disease and they can’t control it. Don’t blame them for their anger it’s just a fear of withdrawal.
In fact I’d be willing to guess there is significant overlap in the people who are angry in the other thread about their weed being taken away that are in here scared that their video games are being taken away.
Here's something for you to chew on, since you have it all figured out......
I don't smoke weed and I don't play video games outside of Madden/NCAA occasionally, but this lawsuit and anyone who still worries over weed can frick right off.

Common sense and personal responsibility? What’s that.
