Guys, make sure you thank them whenever you meet them! I had dinner at Longhorn Steakhouse tonight by the Mall of Louisiana! There were many Utility trucks parked by the Mall! There were 3 different tables of these men! One group was from Tennessee, the second group from Florida, and t by e third group I met as I was leaving, was from Chicago! I was moved to t by ank these young men from the bottom of my heart, for them to leave their families an just drive off to another state to assist with down power lines! I am sure they are well compensated, but I ensured them of how we all take our comforts for granted, but we truly to appreciate their help in times such as these! Thank you men! Job well done!!!

Remember they’re also away from their families helping us. At the least get their cell and have your old lady send some nudes.

Since all of this started, I have seen two, two CLECO trucks and countless out of state contractors. WTF CLECO.

They’re also all probably making absolute bank (for a linemen.). They’re not all out there for the goodness from their heart. Deserve every penny of it, but truck nuts are getting put on their 4 wheelers when they get home.

With the fat arse overtime and expense accounts they’re knocking down, they should have bought your supper.

I’ve been working with them all day, every crew I meet I let know how thankful we are, even when it’s bad news.

Only one way to eat an elephant, and every pole and wire that goes back up makes a difference.

If you see them out, buy them a meal. They’ve said they can accept food again. I know the crew that restores my power is gonna get fed well.

Trust me, they are seeing plenty of nudes in person.

Those guys go hard on out of town trips.

CSB incoming:

After Katrina my brother and I were coming home from dinner in the pitch dark and we saw a 250 approaching from the left. This utility contractor blew through a tee and went directly in a huge canal on the opposite side and never let off the gas. He was throwing rooster tail 10ft up and almost made it up the opposite bank.

We parked the car on the shoulder snd started blowing the horn. He cut the truck off, opened the truck door and fell in the mud and water totally wasted. We collected his arse and brought him to his hotel less than a mile away.

On our way back past the truck a state trooper was already checking it out. Saved that guy a dui wnd probably his job. We all laughed our asses off all the way back to the room

I live in rural northern St. Landry Parish. As I was doing yard work today a convoy of roughly 50 utility trucks went by.

I assume they were looking for I-49, which is only a couple miles down the road from me.

But I have to wonder how they ended up in BFE when the nearest hard hit area is Baton Rouge, about 60 miles away.

Cleco is too busy trying to figure out how to increase our bills for the upcoming months.
