I was getting my kids a passport and heard the clerk tell a customer they were about 2 weeks behind. She told the customer that she could pay for express, but it would not get there before Christmas.
That’s not a USPS issue
The express in NOLA is same day but you have to make an appointment

Who appointed the current Postmaster General?

FED EX is consistently much worse in almost every way (at double the price).
If Trump actually privatize USPS a ton of rural locations will no longer be getting deliveries b/c it will be deemed too costly. Somehow this will be Democrats fault.

I ordered a basketball on 12/9. It shipped out via UPS on 12/11 from somewhere in New York. On 12/13 it was transferred to the usps when it arrived in TN. There’s been zero updates since that day.
USPS is and always will be terrible.

It’s the government. What do you expect?
There’s more to it than that.
This seems to be a real problem in Louisiana based off the multitude of complaints.
I say that because I never have a problem with them.
What could it be???

or you know, repeal the regulation that forced the PO to preemptively place money into a retirement fund, and prevent them from regulating costs so as to retain staff, upgrade equipment and not take millions in losses every year.
the PO was turning a hell of a profit until Congress decided to handcuff them - and from that point on, they were double digit millions in losses y2y.

Unless there is a massive change in how USPS operates, you could always speculate and invest in Forever Stamps. I'm pretty sure their cost is rising faster than inflation and the rate of return on reselling them could be lucrative.

Baton Rouge processing center
i was told at my local post office that the BR processing center is receiving packages, then sending them off to multiple other locations because they claim that they're "too busy"...completely stupid...so eventually the packages come back to BR and either sit there for days, or if you're lucky, one of their brilliant employees will actually forward it where it is supposed to go...i've got 3 packages that are in limbo right now, with no updates for the past 10 days, and was told there is nothing that can be done...

I haven't followed this thread at all but as far as mailing packages is concerned
USPS>>>>>>>>>>Fedex (unless it goes through Memphis)>UPS

My mom mailed something to me mid last week. Less than 100 miles away. I still haven’t gotten it.

I'm watching a package that's a gift going back and forth. It got to Dallas, then to BR, then was sent back to Dallas and then back to BR again where it's been sitting for several days. Latest update says it's in transit to the next facility, but that package is addressed to go to New Roads. If it goes back to Dallas again.....

I think mine is about to return to Dallas for the 4th time. Surely it takes time to send these packages back and forth. Just deliver them!
