This happens to me frequently, not just during the holidays. The BR USPS is a fricking black hole.

I have no clue how they do their delivering or if there is any type of logic to it, but I once had something being delivered to be through USPS and it was delivered to Port Allen, then went to Baton Rouge, then to somewhere in Alabama, then to Donaldsonville then to me.
Like I said, I have no idea how they do thing, but I tried to wrap my head around that logic. Its brought to a town in Louisiana that's about a 20 min drive south from me, then it goes to the city right across the river, then it goes through one state and into the next, in some town then its brought back to Louisiana to a town that's about a 20 min drive north to me. I truly want to know how the post office logistics work.

They're trying to get it to you, but the rednecks keep shooting down the delivery drones.

This happens to me all the time. I'll see the package arrive at my local post office then suddenly it is in Port Allen, then Phoenix, Arizona, then back to Port Allen then back to my local office and finally my mailbox. Generally 3 days later than the scheduled delivery.

It happens all the time. 3 days to cross the country, and 6 days languishing in Baton Rouge.

Twice this month I've had small packages taking 5-7 days longer than original expected delivery date(4-5 days)

I had one package sipped from California to Texas to Mississippi (destination) to North Carolina to Tennessee back to Mississippi.
I swear, people went completely retarded as soon as the term retarded became uncouth.

Most of the mis-routings are a result of sorting machines not humans.
Several people have been complaining about BR sort center being a black hole. Most of our mail going to the camp comes through NOLA and almost always gets delivered the day after it arrives in NOLA. The rare package that goes through BR is almost always late.

I got this beat, I have one that hasn't moved since last Saturday. Very frustrating

I had the same thing happen last week with no movement showing that it even left the last hub for 3 or 4 days and then the package finally got received in OKC.
Got a popup from USPS asking me to take their survey and I blasted them finishing saying USPS is even worse than DHL.
I hate it when I'm waiting on packages that are coming through the Post Office.

In the first year I opened my business I had some touch and go moments financially. At one point I had about $3.50 in the bank. The USPS couldn’t find a $10k check that was logged in to the branch where I get my mail. It took them four days to finally find it. I went every day and was fulllu prepared to “go postal” on the last day when they found it.
I had two young kids and I think the jury would have been sympathetic if I had gone through with it.

Probably got ganked by an employee.
I used to work in logistics and there was a stretch where the same sort facility had 7 different packages check in and never check out. I documented each one and filed a complaint with a running tally.
Problem eventually stopped. Most likely because we weren't the only ones complaining, so they were able to bust the tPOS.

Unfortunately that was not an option. I had to get a check and I was completely reliant on the fricking USPS to deliver it properly.

Made an order on 11/18
Shipped the next day
1. Original scan = Fort Smith, Arkansas
When I saw this I thought I'd have my package in about 3 days. NOT!
I live north of Lafayette.
2 Scan = Baton Rouge
3. Scan = Lafayette
4 Scan = Maringouin
5 Scan = Baton Rouge
6 Scan = Columbus, Ohio
7 Scan = DFW
8 scan = Baton Rouge
9 Scan = Lafayette
10 Finally made it to my house on 12/6
I figured that the label must have been scratch up and they were having trouble figuring out the address. Nope, The label was perfectly fine.
WTF?
