TFW your once great nation is imploding on itself due to decades of misrule by a venal, decadent elite.

The U.S. is projected to see the worst reversal of fortune this year in a ranking of global economic misery, underscoring just how much havoc the pandemic has wrought.
America fell 25 spots, from the No. 50 spot to No. 25, on Bloomberg’s Misery Index, which tallies inflation and unemployment outlooks for 60 economies.

Of course we are. Everything is doom and gloom right now in the media.

I am sure people in Russia and Mexico look down on us these days

Because those countries didn't intentionally completely tank their economies for political purposes.

I find it rather funny that no matter the "index" being used, the US is always at the bottom.
It's almost like these indices are specifically crafted to portray the US in a negative light....

Having been to both Russia and Mexico
Big fat no
Welfare recipients here think having only a 55 inch TV, the last generation 900 dollar phone, and a 7 year old American standard car is a sign that the establishment is against them
Those three things are worth more than the average Mexican or Russian has.

I wonder what’s the misery index for spending hundreds of millions to get votes only to find out no one likes you.

Wait you mean to tell me that people aren't happy when they're working longer hours than ever before with less benefits and less vacation time for the same or less pay than ever before all while the buying power of the dollar shrinks by the day?
I don't believe you.

Yea the conservatively governed cities like Chicago, Portland , Seattle, ATL and New York seem to really be thriving.

CNN used to keep this "Misery Index" score in the bottom right hand corner of the screen throughout GWB's entire second term.
I havent even heard it since then. Makes sense it'll pop back up before the election since Orange Man is bad.
I also wish all of these supposed "comparisons" would treat each US State as it's own "country" because it would help make it much cleaner and more apples to apples. The US is too big and diverse to be compared to small homogeneous countries

Other places enjoy guaranteed vacation time, UHC, guarnteed maternal leave, and often don't work 40 hours a week.
But that's just all evil socialism

I was talking to my mom last night, 77 years old. She said this is the worst time in American history in her lifetime. pretty sad.

I have guaranteed vacation time, great healthcare, and don't work 40 hours a week.
