LOL, what percentage of people are moving up in life in modern America? It's a myth perpetuated by exceptions and not rules.

A lot of people in this country grow up poor and end up middle class. I know a number of people who grew up middle class and are now wealthy

Joe Biden has been in Washington for like 50 years. He’s a shill of the credit card companies and other Delaware corporate money interests. Joe Biden, a senile husk of a man, is a perfect representative of the US ruling class.

Career politicians are anti American imo.

I agree, but it’s affecting everyone, not just the US.

Are there countries with thriving economies right now relative to pre-pandemic? Legit asking as I don't know

Please just stop. I'm getting embarrassed for you with how bad our takes are in this thread.

I keep trying for a spot on the bottom three posters, but I never seem to be good enough to make it.

Doubt it.

My point was that if the whole world is affected by the same pandemic, I would assume there shouldn’t be such a drastic change in these rankings.

was talking to my mom last night, 77 years old. She said this is the worst time in American history in her lifetime. pretty sad.

BS. Recency bias. Your mom lived through the social upheaval of the 60s and the economic uncertainty of the 70s. We don't have gas lines and 15% mortgage rates these days. Just look at some films or TV shows from the 1970s and notice how run down and crappy America looked back then.

Things aren't bad at all. We just need to decide we're going back to work and life as usual in the face of this virus. We're killing ourselves right now.

You do also have to consider the source for these rankings

Although, I'd be perfectly fine with some people deciding Mexico and Russia are better locations to live and vote.

Those go hand in hand.

A lot of people don’t want to hear it, but that is the downside to a capitalist society, and it’s a major one. Government policy shouldn’t be determined by essentially the same system as P5 college recruiting where you wine and dine or pay to play in order to get favorable legislation.

That’s the major reason both parties are the same. No one actually gives a shite about the stances they take for the most part. They either shill for whomever gave them the most money or the take the opposite stance of their opponent just to be the opposition.
