Sex offender doesn't always mean pedo. I knew a guy in college who got busted streaking, several others too. They all took a plea deal and paid a fine, but he wanted to fight it in court and ended up being a registered sex offender. He has since gotten that purged but for years it was quite an inconvenience for him.
