And natural causes (heart attacks, strokes, etc).

Shockingly, it might even be higher than that. Police are not required to disclose how many people they kill every year to anyone.
Yeah. I bet cops are killing folks and not telling anyone on the regular. Not like that shite would show up in the media. It's all a conspiracy you know.

Blacks would be over represented according to those stats. Black folk account for 12.6% of the population and 27% of the police killings.

Hard to kill someone with one of those batons.
eta: I thought you meant the number killed by police.

People in the US are much more agressive than in the UK and also have guns.
I've never been there, but I feel like this is pretty spot on.
I mean, I know they have the occasional football riots in England, but do they really have gang members who take an 8-year old child and executes him in an alley as a way to get revenge on the father who is in a rival gang?
The crimes we see in the papers each day are freaking horrid. They do these things to family members, people they supposedly call friends/acquaintances, and complete strangers. It's not out of the realm of possibility that they won't try to kill a cop too.
I know there are cops out there who have done bad shootings. I'm not blind to that, but I'm also not stupid to think their lives are rarely in danger.

The Chappelle skit of "sprinkle some crack on him" comes to mind.

True.
But those are the only ones we ever hear about.
Also, percentage wise, blacks are more likely to commit a crime.
So it all kinda evens itself out.

Do those number look into how justified the killing was? Numbers without context are pretty useless.
Come on now, we all know they were all justified unless the LEO was convicted after the fact. So I think last year saw maybe 4 officers charged, I don't recall how many convicted.

Being a smartass doesn't really erase the validity of my question.

According to the police? They're all justified.

Most British police don't carry guns, so their ability to kill suspects is severely diminished.

Ah. Well, there you go.

Regardless of what opinion a person has in regards to police aggressiveness or gun laws there is enough context to see that there is something about the US that leads to a LOT more killings by the state on its citizens than other comparable developed countries even adjusting for population. And in a general sense killing people is bad, mkay. Everything isn't all right. That much shouldn't be arguable.

We should replace "E Pluribus Unum" with "PEW PEW PEW" IMVHO

Somewhat true, at least in my experience. Historically, European violence tends to be more ordered and systematic whereas violence in the United States tends to be more random and/or individualistic. I think it's fair to say that we have higher levels of violence in everyday, functional society but lower levels when SHTF, if that makes sense. It's been that way for at least two centuries, if not longer - a legacy of being a frontier society, among other things.
We also have what basically boils down to a low-level insurgency happening right across our border, and that spills over in various ways to us.
