That’s one of my biggest fears with the EV push is that it will make fishing unobtainable for a lot of folks. Yes, you could still probably sit on a bucket on the shore and hope for a bite but that ain’t fishing, it’s hoping.

I hate the mandates and EPA frickery. I’m not really worried about it personally because I can plan, but still hate how this is moving. I try to be realistic and know none of this crazy shite will ever actually happen though.

Aside from the Japan trip, I will be taking a trip to Europw to take in some EPL action along with tracing my family’s ancestry so I will be using the shite out of their rail system. I just have so many questions about how they incorporate it into their daily lives.

My experience is that the non- travelers use it infrequently but there’s still a significant usage. That came at a not insignificant social cost.

It’s one of those things that disproportionately impacts those that feel it. Unless they lost land or had a pasture/vineyard bisected by it, they may not have a different opinion. As someone who’s dealt with that, it’s troubling.

Since EVs weigh, on average, around 20% more than their gas-guzzling counterparts (that spiffy new 1,100 hp Hummer, for example, weighs north of 9,000 lbs.), may we assume BidenCo. has improved our streets and bridges to handle all that extra weight and bridge & road degradation, or has that money been repurposed as well?
