People don’t realize how easy it can be to lose weight.
While it is being pedantic weight loss is simple but not necessarily so easy for many people as history keeps teaching us.
It is so simple it can be summed up in four words: eat less/move more.
I have to be an outlier if not an anomaly. I absolutely love a cutting cycle. It is borderline masochistic.

Louisiana will take the top after a few more juicy crab places open

Appalling that 24.6% is #1 lowest and only CO falls below 25%. We really are sick.

Note to young men: Get fit, stay fit & work hard. The advantages that come from it - especially in states with poverty & obesity rates like that
There are more millionaires between the ages of 30 and 40 then men with visible abs. That to me is crazy.

There's fatties everywhere. By the BMI chart, 90% of us are obese. It doesn't account for muscle mass. Plus, over here, we cook good, eat a lot and drink heavy. No shame in our game.

I’m guessing the south ain’t gonna rise again…

Here we go again.
BMI is a wonderful metric for the overwhelming majority of people, unless of course you're an absolute unit of a professional athlete.

I'm honestly surprised that Texas didn't make the list. We have some ham planets here.
2/3 of Texans are urban and the closer you get to city centers, the thinner the people get

You baws get sucked into these numbers too much. From the slimmest state to the fattest state, you're talking about difference of just shy of 3 in 10 people being fat to 4 in 10 being fat at the MS/AR end of the scale. Using percentages with double digit differences is throwing off your perception.
Go to a small town in the Midwest or south, then go to Manhattan or coastal CA. There is a very big difference

By the same token, neither do small regions like that tell you everything. To live in either place, you need to have a pretty high income.

Yeah, the stats basically just reiterate which states have more uneducated, poor and rural people.
I'd say for NY:
College grad that lives in NYC = 4%
Live in NYC outer boroughs with limited education = 20%
Live in rural Western NY with limited education = 40%

Absolute unit, absolutely not. Overweight, of course. If you see me walking down the street, I look like a guy that lifts, but also will drink a beer or eat a burger. I feel like that's a big majority of the world with similar builds in my age group. Typical "dad bod". For me to get in the healthy bmi range I'd have to lose 40lbs to be at the top of the healthy mark. No way in hell I would want to be that lean. At 5'10" 170, I'd be a stick. I like to move weight around, I like to look like I lift, I like to look and be strong, and I like to cook good, eat good, and drink.

You built likely an nfl linebacker, with 5-6% body fat, or just a delusional fatty

I replied to it already, but is everyone on this board just skinny? I said I am def overweight, but in no way do I consider myself obese. Didin't realize everyone on here was thin and ripped.
