Solider was clearly acting like a dumbass and put himself in the situation and somehow Biden’s response gets criticized.

#BREAKING US soldier who crossed into #NorthKorea had been in a detention facility for about a month and a half for disciplinary measures. He was taken to the airport to return to the US but never got on the plane and instead left the airport, a US official tells VOA.

Couldn't have been a major offense if they let him get away that easy.

Which means his life is gonna suck long after he would have gotten out.

That dude better hope he's seen as black or gay. If not, hes there for a long time.

Hey, hey, hey!!! He very well could be a crackhead with an unhealthy love of his own cock, whores, strippers, sister-in-laws, niece, and extremely young Asian girls.

If that’s the case, he will get freed, declared the most intelligent man in America and presented with his own fingerprintless bag to hold his cocaine.

Well, if they crossed the line, that's an act of war.

Ha. Like our current government would go to war over one soldier.

Or care about a border that wasn't Ukraine's.

That or the guards watched him run and though "is he running TOWARDS North Korea?" Then shrugged their shoulders and got a beer.

What a strange way to earn that POW and Korean campaign medal.

Mind you its been damn near 20 years since I've been there but when I visited, they had the biggest ROK (Republic of Korea Armed Forces) Soldiers in there. I'm 6'7" and they were damn near my height and size, and they were strict as frick. These were the conference rooms mind you, they straddle the border

Things may have changed mind you

Update It was a shitbag facing disciplinary charges over an assault and he defected after ditching his escort back to the US. Looking at his picture my assumption of an ASVAB waivered retard seems to be correct.

quote:

King was facing military disciplinary charges while stationed in South Korea after having served time at a prison in the country over assault charges.

Travis King was stationed in South Korea and was touring the demilitarized zone between the two countries when he ran across the border.

quote:

He was supposed to fly back to the US and was escorted by military personnel to the airport but he left past the security checkpoint and skipped his flight.

quote:

Instead, he joined the tour of the Joint Security Area in the demilitarized zone.

Another tourist on the tour, Mikaela Johansson of Sweden, claimed King loudly laughed as he ran between two buildings into the Hermit Kingdom.

quote:

US officials said King, a private second class who has served in the Army for approximately two years, “deliberately” crossed the border into the closed-off and secretive country.

They will put him in their movies and give him a kidnapped wife from some Asian country. This is what they do to all defectors. They will use him as propaganda for their country.
I watched a documentary about the guys US servicemen who defected back in the 60's. They did the exact same thing. One had sons and now they've been brainwashed to spread propaganda in NK. Good doc if you can find it.

-US Army doesn’t need that degree of idiot in its ranks

-I hope this is sarcasm. I met some pretty dense people in 20 years in the Army

——-Didn’t say they don’t exist. I said the Army doesn’t need them.

We need to tell North Korea if they will give us a million dollars, we will take him back. Otherwise, they can just keep him and leave us out of it.

We have enough stupid people in the USA already.
