The "less than honorable discharge" should cancel out that advantage, at least it would at the places I worked.

He should be, he took an oath to defend annd support the American constituion...you cannot keep that oath while at the same time being an outspoken proponent for socialism or communism

any repeated and continuous violation of the oath should be deemed grounds for removal

In this country He can hold whatever political views he wants, he can call for whatever revolution he wants...he just can't do it while being a soldier

They should make him pay it back.

He was enlisted first and served an honorable term so he's entitled to the GI Bill and other VA benefits. I dont know how that mixes into his obligations with the service academy but I doubt he will be out ofnpocket anything. I have an OTH from the military and went to school for free on the GI bill because of a previous honorable enlistment. Also, have a disability from the VA and have used the VA home loan. And I have a great job. People who think your life is over once you get a discharge from the military are usually talking out their arse.

And F this commie pos too.

He's got mental issues and it's probably better for everyone if he's not around weapons and artillery.

I would argue there is no better degree than from West Point, in terms of opportunities post graduation.

But employers can just google this dude and all of this will pop up. I guess he could go work in Berkeley or something and be commended for his views.

CNN and MSNBC are on speed dial.

Dang. When I saw the word, "terminated", I was hoping you meant the, "with extreme prejudice", kind of termination...

At some point he may be able to go to an attorney and have it upgraded to a general. I’ve seen it happen.

They'll see a former Army Ranger who served in Afghanistan that was booted from a school b/c of his political views.

Funny how so called conservatives would be wailing and moaning about freedom of speech had he gone full MAGA and gotten the boot but with this guy they want him tarred and feathered.

I mean if he had just served his five years life would be infinitely better for him, and he can go around bad mouthing the military all he wants to. Now he is unemployable for most jobs.

Eta: he got a OTH, not BCD...

It depends on the business. If he goes to work for Anarchy, Inc, he will probably be okay.

If he goes to work for a company that actually turns a profit without relying on gov't subsides, he'll probably have rough go of it.
