The only way to stabilize energy prices is to drive fuel input costs to zero.
Where do the precious metals required to make solar panels and the generators for windmills come from?
I hat happens when the wind doesn’t blow or it’s cloudy, or if you’re in a latitude that has significantly decreased solar intensity? I mean, I know there aren’t any major urban centers away from the tropics or equator like NYC, Chicago, Cleveland, Cincinnati, Detroit, Seattle, Portland, Minneapolis, or Denver.

could. Rare earths are not particularly rare, and they are not a limiting factor anyway.
Almost 100% of their production is controlled by China because our epa and state based environmental groups won’t allow for their mining in the US

know you hate renewables but they are the only way to bring energy production in-house and control costs.
Hahahahahahahahah
Bro, we're gonna build out own renewables. Now, let's start with some lightweight aluminum....oh shite, wait a second.

They're protesting mining too.

Something tells me solar panels and windmills are useless here.
My utility company charges me a $20/m surcharge to support their new solar field. Yes, I pay extra for the honor of using solar power.

They charged Scruffy more for his registration because it used less gas.

Look for Uncle Joe to try and nationalize the electric grid in response.

we would stop exporting natural gas it could help with our energy costs.
Just saying.
If they would stop pushing the bullshite renewables like wind and solar, not to mention giving an unprecedented amount of breaks and incentives for associated companies....and just put in more nuclear facilities, this would not be an issue. This green energy shite and constant spewing of climate change crisis is rapidly fricking this country. I hope the next administration immediately cuts and ceases anything to do with this green energy crap on day one, kind of like how Biden did with oil/gas/etc. Why are there so many uneducated dumbasses buying into this renewables/climate change bullshite, and based on what? "Media constantly saying crap like 98% of all scientists say the world will end if we don't do something now" Where's the actual evidence of anything?

The left controls 98% of the media, academia, social media, hollywood, music/entertainment. They have a complete stranglehold on information getting to people

How is it that 100% of the left are stupid enough to blindy follow though? Are they all missing a critical component of their brain that allows for logic to enter into their thoughts? Rhetorical question.

Hahahahahahahahah
quote:Fine by me, diversification is great.
Or, and hear me out, we could start mining our own uranium and building nuclear plants
quote:Sounds good.
resume mining our own coal and using it as opposed to shipping it to China and start burning it for electricity
quote:Also sounds good.
and start increasing the number of combined cycle nat gas power plants and frack the ever living shut out of the gas fields we have.
quote:No problem with that at all.
You know, use the energy we have in absolute gobsmacking abundance.
But how does any of that help an individual household or business looking to insulate itself from the booms and busts of the market?

I hat happens when the wind doesn’t blow or it’s cloudy

or if you’re in a latitude that has significantly decreased solar intensity?

Plenty of installed solar in all the places listed.
I don't know why you folks get so mad about this stuff. If a business can't survive the volatility of the markets in its supply chain, maybe it's time to consider vertical integration.

Off-grid is another term for going backwards.

You obviously don’t have any real world experience with solar panels. Under optimal conditions, I’m lucky to get 30-40% usage from my panels.
