If you were a manager at let's say, McDonald's would you expect the said applicant to be able to correctly piece together a sentence?

Obviously you only need to know how to push a picture of the food on a button to work at McDonald's

I love when the illiterate felon Ray Lewis is gibberishing on the field alongside straight arrow, sharp solon, solid citizen Steve Young and you know Steve is thinking something about Lewis' fractured speech patterns.

I would suggest the toughest challenge in that situation is to not let your face betray you.

Although I am sure this is a factor, there is a much bigger issue at play. . Many people just don't want to hire people of color.

Check out the black versus white resume study. When resumes with similar experience, education, and background are sent with traditional white names vs. traditional black names, the ones with traditional white names got significantly more callbacks been the one with traditional black sounding names. And we are not talking about names such as Laquishinika. Names such as Tyrone, T'Ron, Lakisha, etcetera vs. Joshua, Heather, Chad, etc.

Of course not. They probably cannot read very well and they would have to read the orders.

You know black people do the same to white people right?

Every race/person discriminates against others.

Well guess what? While this is true a minority of the time, the same findings held true when the hiring managers were black.

There are countless other studies that demonstrate that black people discriminate against black people more than they do against white people.

Sorry.

So you're saying we need less black managers? I don't see how that would help.

No. I am only saying what I posted. That when all is equal, including the experience and education, the majority of folks would rather hire a white person than a black person. The controlled studies support that.

So we need less studies?

Or just less controlled studies?

Honestly I'm having a little trouble understanding what you're suggesting.
