From the first time I heard this bitch paying for her friend’s lunch because “she had so much more extra cash nowadays because of the free Upside App.” The bitch literally said,” I get 2 to 3 hundred dollars a month cash back from my Upside App just for buying gas.”

Then the commercial goes on to say that you can get “up to .25 cents back on every gallon of gas you buy,”

So, at .25 cents per gallon, this fricking bitch is buying at least 800 gallons of gas per month? frick I hate this false advertisement bullshite.

I heard a radio advertisement from them them today and the bitch now says that she “Has gotten $200 back from the app.” No time frame. I wonder if they got sued.

The way she says, “Wow!” sounds so sarcastic.

She also turns tricks on the side for a little extra dough.

I think the commercial also says that the .25 back is an introductory offer. So when that ends you'd be getting LESS back. All I can think is that girl must own a trucking company to get that much back on gas.

Amen...it drives my wife and ai crazy. I too did the same math you did. Also noticed tge change to commercial with no time frame.

Theres now a new Upside commercial with a guy spokesman. He says that people are trying to find new ways to make ends meet then proceeds to say you can use it at gas stations, restaurants and grocery stores and make up to an additional $96.00 PER YEAR. Year, not hour, not day a f'n year.

If you need $96.00 per year extra to "make ends meet" you got bigger problems. Why are you even eating out?

It’s annoying when Ben Shapiro mentions it on his show.

Biden is going to tell Americans to use this App and claim that he lowered gas prices.

What's the endgame with the app? I agree with OP and roll my eyes at the ads, have the same concerns/questions. "If it's too good to be true...."

I'll never NOT want an extra $96, even if it is once a year. But what's the catch? How big of a hassle is it? I'm certain it's a bunch of nonsense.

I'm not sure how the make their money but I've been using it for a couple of years now and get $50-$75 back. You just have to check the map in the app to see which stations participate

It's not much of a hassle at all, if there are gas stations around you that participate in it.

You link credit card to app. When you get to gas station, you "check in" on app, you fill up, and money hits your Upside balance within a day or so.

I've been using since late December and have about $50 available to withdraw.

You're not going to earn big rewards by any means, but it's still a free $100-$150/year for doing something I am going to have to do anyway.

I can’t tell what’s worse for you.

Your wife knowing about your sex doll, or the sex doll being self-aware enough to care about how annoying commercials are.

I hear that! the commercial is annoying. That being said. I have gotten over $200 back. But its been over a year and alittle bit to save that much. I just cashed it out when it got to $100 as a Amazon E-gift card. Bought golf stuff with it. Don't it twice so far. The amount you get back varies. Sometimes its .20 and sometimes its .06. It just depends, but its free money so I just keep doing it. But it is nothing like the commercial thats for sure.

It’s not just cash back when you buy gas, you also get cash back when your referrals buy gas. We did some consulting work for them a while back and I linked my referral to coworkers. I get like $20/mo from just that and I don’t even use the app lol

ETA - so they make money by selling data back to the companies and the companies also pay for most of the discount. They really want to track in store purchasing when you stop to get gas. They also sell the data to competitors…no names or contact info, just your sex, age, car, etc

How? Who/where does the money come from, and what is their incentive to pay you?

I use it! I’m gonna buy gas anyway so why not get something back for it? I usually get 13-15 cents per gallon back on premium (I don’t know if it’s the same on regular) but in the last 10 months or so I’ve made about $250 or so back. Every $100 or so I withdraw and throw it in to some investments. I’m buying gas anyway.
