I’ve played basketball in that gym many times. Several basketball camps with Coach Simon and trips to swim in the pool as a kid.

It's a cool place. They host the Annual DU banquet the night before Opening day in the gym. I bet the maintenance bill on the place is giraffe arse.

Back in the day, an abandoned Holiday Inn was converted to apartments for med school residents in Baton Rouge, working at Earl K Long. The neighborhood was so bad they surrounded it with a razor wire fence. Thus its nickname “The Koresh.”
