UPS/USPS/FedEx drivers are lazy pieces of shite

Some of you might recall the thread I made about the issues I currently have with my second car. It turns out the engine skipped timing. I've been having car parts shipped to my girlfriend's (no pics) house since the package closet at my complex's leasing office is somewhat unreliable.

Today I was supposed to receive a timing chain tensioner from Rock Auto via UPS. My girlfriend worked from home today so she was available to sign for me if necessary since I was at the office. Around 4 or so I received a notification with a timestamp of 4:14 that the package was undelivered because the "recipient wasn't home." The GF was definitely home at that time.

She has a Nest camera set up at her front door, so I decided to investigate. Lo and behold, the driver parked his truck, got out, and simply slapped a note on the door without even ringing the doorbell or knocking.

I called the local UPS distribution center to complain and sent them the video footage. I got reimbursed for my shipping costs and they are sending a new package due Thursday via expedited freight. Maybe the lazy frick will get fired. I don't feel bad if he does.

Why would a driver be that lazy? My only reasoning would be that he didn't feel like digging through his packages to find mine and/or waiting a minute or so at the door for the recipient to answer.
