UPS Drivers never turn left in the US.

A buddy of mine works there and shared this with me today, who knew.
To avoid accidents, lawsuits etc etc etc
From google - The company gives each driver a specific route to follow and that includes a policy that drivers should never turn through oncoming traffic (that's left in countries where they drive on the right and vice versa) This means that routes are sometimes longer than they have to be

Pretty much most people.

Considering everyone waiting to call Gordon or Saul Goodman, it is a really smart business decision, honestly.

Horse shite. I see one turn left every single day.

Too bad it's not totally true.

Any exceptions for green turn arrows?

It's like Nascar in reverse.

That's not entirely why. They save tons of money on fuel because of it too. Less waiting at red lights = huge savings.

Levis is talking about Orion, a software program that UPS introduced in 2008 and has tweaked every year since then. By guiding drivers to avoid left turns whenever possible, Orion has cut the average UPS route by 6 to 8 miles, saving the delivery behemoth some $300 to $400 million each year in gas, salaries and vehicle upkeep.

Fixed. And this is common knowledge.

That's wild. I wonder if it works? You'd think UPS would have the data to back up the policy showing it does.
I may have to implement this policy with my son when he gets driving age.

It isn't "never"...the routes are designed to eliminate as many left turns as possible, in-particular unprotected left turns.

It's to minimize left turns not NO left turns.

Urban legend. One turns left in front of my office every week day

The UPS driver that delivers to my house turns left at the end of my street every day

It's because UPS is a Muslim company and they consider anything left to be dirty.
Their slogan used to be "what can Brown do to you?"

Maybe that’s what they tell their insurance provider, or maybe in certain areas, but they certainly do turn left

False. UPS drivers turn left on a regular basis. One turned left into my driveway last week. Most UPS drivers in Nashville have to turn left to enter the UPS facility at Whites Creek.
