not real sure why attempted murder gets such a lenient sentence compared to 1st or 2nd degree murder ... the incompetence of the perp to carry out his intent should not be a consideration ...
see he has a prior with a weapon ... if it was a gun, there's no reason why he shouldn't spend the next 20 years minimum in prison ... get serious about criminals using guns and gun control advocates might get a concession, to some degree ...
