These people are liars. Doubt Seidel or his apologists have the capacity for shame.

I’m sure he was exhausted. Earlier that day I watched him fake struggle to stand on the side of a hill when there was perfectly fine flat ground 2 feet away. All that wobbling takes it out of your legs after a while.

The whole thing had me rolling. His antics, acting like he’s about to be blown away with the wind blowing into him...then the walkers...then him throwing the debris up and it just flops down...comedy gold

Two simple follow-up questions for The Weather Channel:
#1 - If the grass was so slippery, then why didn't Mike Seidel move about a foot and stand on concrete? He could have taken two steps and been standing on concrete.

#2 - Why was one of the men, who walked off into the grass across the way, not affected by the "gusting winds?"

Anderson Cooper did something similar here in Houston either pre-Katrina winds or post Katrina winds.

He was wobbling back and forth claiming it was violently windy in downtown Houston on Main Street out in front of a bar.

Behind him was a bar patron smoking a cigarette and the smoke was going straight up.

To the guys credit, he was standing there, they were walking. He was leaning into the wind in a stance to make it easier to stand there. Was it exaggerated? Yes but not nearly as bad as the gif above.

The whole thing is exploitative drama and sometimes exaggerated but by and large, its not fake news. Personally, if its between more political talk and weather coverage, I'll take the weather all day.

I remember watching Geraldo report on some hurricane. He was standing in front of some bushes that were violently shaking "in the wind". That was when I spotted someone's hands shaking the branches to make it appear windy. I showed my family and we all had a good laugh that the camera crew had stuck a guy in the bushes for that bit of drama.
