If the Magi were from the Far East as the story goes then they would have had to travel west to get to Bethlehem. No one gets to Israel traveling due East unless you’re on a boat

They look like stars when looking at them, I just assumed they were stars and thought it was cool they were actually planets.

Of course it’s 2020 so it will probably create 100 years of darkness and thousands of giant nocturnal praying mantises will scour the earth.

The actual Christmas star included Mare with Jupiter and Saturn.

I've already got my telescope ready. With the right eyepieces I should be able to see both of them in the scope at the same time (along with 4 of Jupiter's moons and 2 of Saturn's.)




Unfortunately for most people, they'll be very low on the horizon and you'll have to get out right at sunset to see them at convergence.

Way too foggy here, I can barely see the moon. Maybe it will be clear tomorrow night.
