In no way am I excusing the teacher's behavior, but 17 year old me would have never had the confidence, or even knowhow, to try to make a move on my 40 year old teacher. If I did, it would have been some awkwardly executed attempt that almost assuredly would have (a) been immediately shut down and (b) gotten me expelled.
Either HS boys are a hell of a lot more confident/capable than me at that age or teachers are sending out very clear signs they are DTF that even a 17 year old can pick up on.

I knew a couple of guys that banged older chicks that were out of high school and they were very confident in themselves. They may have shagged a teacher too.

I always laugh at the criticism the anti-marriage crowd gets on this board. American women are the most spoiled and delusional demographic in world history. It's 100% logical for American men to observe that and never put themselves in a position to be financially and emotionally wrecked by something they cannot control.
