The news article originally said accidental but was edited as the story was updated hence the multiple responses questioning it being an accident. Good work though detective

This is incredibly sad. I have two kids the same age and I can’t imagine being that big of a piece of shite as to kill your kids too.
Reminds me of another horrible murder suicide from the Charleston area about 12 years or so ago. A girl my wife went to high school with had her mom watch her kids. The grandmother shot the kids and killed herself. fricking sickening.

If I had to guess, I would imagine it involves the a nasty baby daddy situation and the mom really trying to hurt the kid's father.

Happened in Birmingham to a family my family was friends with. Wife understood her hubby was cheating on her(not sure if he was or not). Wife was with the kids one night, bathed them, put them to bed. She shot them then killed herself.
I wound up helping the wife's parents move to a new place a few months later to "get away" from the area as they lived nearby...undertandably needing a new start. Really sad helping them move the pictures in particular.

Postpartum possibly? A friend of mine married a beautiful woman 2 years ago. She was always posting pics of the baby bump but everything disappeared from FB a month or two after the baby was born. She killed herself before the baby was 8 months old.

3 kids feared dead -- thrown into S.F. bay / Mother who said she heard voices is arrested -- child's body is recovered near Fort Mason
Had recently gotten off of pharmaceuticals, iirc. I'd definitely look into that in this case as well.
