Immediate threat is to other parts of their own facility...they have a neighbor, Vopak, who I'm sure would appreciate it if they managed to keep it contained to this battery alone.

I'm trying to get bearings using google maps... looks like ITC has other companies on all sides of them? Where are their docks located? Also saw a story that said they are using fire boats... where are those at?

How long does the foam stay on the water? And damn that's along way to be pumping water from a boat.

I see now. I thought they only had the small farm by Tidal Rd and Independence Parkway. I now see that they have additional tank farms across Tidal going all the way back to the docks on the ship channel.
I'm assuming it's the tanks closest to the docks that are on fire?

Based on images I've seen I think its the ones on corner of Tidal Rd and Independence Parkway.

There is a Google maps image halfway down the page of the tank battery.

Yeah that's a good distance from the ship channel.

Please let me know when 80-1, 80-4, 80-7, 80-10, and 80-13 catch on fire.

Are the tanks that caught fire the new ones built in the last two years?

No. The tanks on fire are visible in Google Earth from a satellite pass made in 1978.
Google Earth Pro is pretty awesome for stuff like this. Historical satellite passes, measurement tools, elevations, etc.

That whole battery of 15 is gonna be burnt before this is over.
I did see an update earlier and they have dragged Jeff Lindner, of the flood fame, out of his office to talk about how the winds and weather are affecting things.

That’s was a foregone conclusion whenever they couldn’t extinguish the initial tank fire.

/r/Houston is awash of conspiracy theories and people priming up their lawsuit cases.

Those tanks are way too close together.

We’ve already had 3 pumps (rentals) burnt up on site...
