Update: Candy the loneliest smoking chimpanzee from blue bayou is with the lord now

As you all remember blue bayou had a chimpanzee that just sat in a cage and smoked cigarettes that guest would flick at it. After being sued blue bayou got rid of the monkey in the hopes for a better life.

After spending a couple years free in an animal sanctuary.. I’m sad to report that candy succumbed to a hard life of soda and smoked and passed away.

All of the chimps at the old Jackson (MS) Zoo smoked. People used to thump their lit smokes over the moat to them. The enclosure was full of old cigarette butts.
