Almost everyone in America knows who this guy is.
Like most Americans, I would have no idea who the guy was if he stood next to me in line at Target. Posting on TD is about the extent of my social media and I try to avoid television news.
It’s an interesting story but don’t think that the relatively few posters who got this thread to 350 pages represent the average American.

So if they can’t find the boyfriend will this thread be stickied forever?

Amen. I don’t understand the fascination with this story. Abusive types kill their spouses/so often. And criminals run/ hide everyday. What makes
This particular case so compelling?

The question I have in this is if anyone has actually seen BL since he returned
It has been reported that neighbors saw him and his mother riding bikes, and that he mowed the grass. If we believe the parents, he disappeared, like a fart in a hurricane, with hundreds of media, and stalkers, watching the house, with the stalkers screaming at anybody that moved.

I would venture to say it's because these two didn't fit the typical abusive murderer stereotype.
Or it could just be because she was a cute white girl.
Take your pick.
ETA or it could just be that some of us are tired of reading the daily politics and COVID drivel. Feel free to return to that broken record.

It looks like LE may be using the media to start pressuring the parents to talk, and say what they may know. For them, shiznit is aboot to get real, if they keep thumbing their nose at LE.
So they will not talk to the police without a lawyer (smart) and that constitutes accessories after the fact. Last I checked they have constitutional rights. That is now considered thumbing one’s nose at LE. What a banana republic this country is becoming. Just because the media has a narrative, does not mean they have to go along with it.

Because a girl went missing for almost 3 weeks while her boyfriend drove her van life car across the country back home without her.

For me, it’s the following along of new details. Sure, it’s playing out similarly to any murder/getaway, but…
Not knowing the ending is like reading a book. Just waiting for the next page to see what happens.
Do I let to consume my entire day? No. But I’m intrigued to know the ending.

So you don't watch movies of the same genre because you've seen one before? Every end of the world movie is the same...end of world coming, we save it. Still there are 100 of em out there. Cause despite the same premise, plot and even idea sometimes (deep impact/Armageddon with asteroids)...they are all different.
This dude drove across the country and girlfriend wasnt reported missing for 11 days after he got home. He disappears from his home at unknown time. Girl found dead in forest. he is on the run. Parents could be involved...its fascinating. Also, she was cute. Think Deep Impact woulda been the same with Rebel Wilson instead of Tea Leoni?

B and G set out on a cross country trip together.
B and G have strain on their relationship that causes them to get physical with each other.
B drives the couples van/home cross country without G.
B refuse to help G’s family or LE find G.
B intentionally goes missing himself
G’s dead body found near where the van that B drove cross country without her has been spotted.
Preliminary autopsy results list Gs manner of death a homicide
All of the above are facts despite what SFP will argue.

What do you mean by this?
If they committed crimes, then talking won't help them.
If they haven't committed crimes, then talking will only possibly get them charged with something.
LEO isn't going to let them off, at this point, if they start talking. It's too high profile of a case.

Put me in the camp of he's hiding out at some friend's house. At least for now. Then, he'll go Eric Rudolph into the wilderness.

Was just thinking about the wilderness option. One would think with today's technology that if they do a full on manhunt for him, they'll find him much faster than they found ERR dumpster diving. Thoughts?

He doesn’t have any friends though…
I mean I don’t see what’s so crazy about not being able to find him, it’s one of the easiest times in the past 50 years to hide out. Masks have nullified a lot of tech to find someone. Throw on a hat and an avg build and height and you just blend in.
