Have there been any stories about how the different law enforcement bodies are cooperating?
I ask this because I read that her family filed a missing person report with their local police-in Long Island New York.
What state was she believed to be missing in?
This could be an interesting timeline to follow and overlay the couple's movements.
How did the Florida police get involved? And when did the FBI come into the picture?

She hasn't been identified as of yet. Get back to us when you get arrested for killing someone, that may not be dead. And if they come back and say she was eaten by a bear, then what?

I assume it was easier for them to file that report locally than thousands of miles away. However, it is complicated by the fact that she wasn't even a NY resident. She was a transplant to Florida on vacation out West. The NY police had very little input or recourse in the matter.
