But over a dozen people shot some critically and no press conference, no suspects, no descriptions, no outrage, no mayor and police chief demanding Justice, just a 2 paragraph story buried in the news
And odds are no arrest will be made.

My friend and me used to get drinks and hang out at the daiquiri place at the corner of Bluebonnet/Coursey/Airline because it was close to home and it was funny being the only white people there. Stuff like this, Bella Noche, etc, make me feel like we were playing with fire. One bad slam poetry night and someone goes to their car and comes back inside with their piece.

It's upsetting me and my homeboys. We feel like, well damn if you can't go to Dior where the hell could you go?

2 days ago-I was on Jefferson Hwy ( Jefferson Terrace) by by the 7-11 and 2 hood rats ( man and woman) were walking across the hwy like they were on a stroll so I slammed on my brakes in the middle of the road to let them continue their increasingly slow crawl across a busy highway.. My windows were rolled down. I said nothing and made no gestures because I’m too old for that. The woman starts doing this weird epileptic hood gesture with her hands like she’s in a Thug Life video and screams “ Imma sue yo arse, you bitch arse n…..”.
Ahhhhh Baton Rouge. It’s so delightful to live among people who value the social contract so highly.

Sadly you just can't avoid NBR and stay away from it these days.

What happened to the murder map in Baton Rouge.
Broome tries to control the media and squashed it. The scumbag will do whatever it takes to minimize the homicide problem in BR.

I glanced over all the major media outlets. The L.A. shooting by an Asian male is the top story on every major media outlet. No mention of this shooting in B.R. I wonder why?

January 19th article. Sad.
Mayor Broome exchanges crime fighting tips with other mayors
quote:
WASHINGTON – Baton Rouge Mayor Sharon Weston Broome discussed ways to address crime with mayors from major cities around the nation during a whirlwind trip this week to the nation’s capitol.

Broome then huddled in a corner of the Capitol Hilton with fellow members of the African American Mayors Association.
She shared crime fighting notes with New York City Mayor Eric Adams, Atlanta Mayor Andre D. Dickens, Jackson, Miss., Mayor Chokwe Antar Lumumba, and St. Louis Mayor Tishaura Oneda Jones. “We have work to do because one murder is one too many,” Broome said in an interview Thursday before heading back to Baton Rouge.

This is where it happened. If you're looking for entertainment, go look through their story. This place is ghetto as f***.
I’d rather walk through the African bush with steaks tied to me than enter that place.

The ghetto nightclub. “Club Dior had advertised a "back to college" themed live show, beginning at 9 p.m. on Saturday and running until 2 a.m. Sunday.”

Honestly, I’d rather be in scotlandville than some other parts of BR these days. Except SU’s campus. It seems to pop off their often enough.

I'm shocked.
