Update: Any of you baws ever attend a HS football game @ McKinley high in BR?

We drew them in round 1 of LHSAA playoffs. Going next Friday to watch my stepson play. Do I need to wear Kevlar or should we be alright? Thanks in advance.
Update: I survived in case anyone cares. Lol.
The food was good. A playoff game at Mckinley high did not disappoint. Pulled up to a DJ in the parking lot and essentially a block party in progress. Drove with my pistol in my lap after we beat them 42-0. Thanks for y’all’s feedback.

You should definitely be armed. McKinley HS is in the heart of “The Bottom” off of Thomas Delpit Dr.
Within a 5 block radius of McKinley HS there have been several deadly shootings within the past 2 years.

Yes, we played them a few weeks ago. Bring extra money to pay for secure parking and park by the cops. You will be fine. BTW the turkey wings are good.

Ha. My MIL wants to go and she can barely walk and has the whole handicap placard thing. I’m completely against those but may actually use it in this case just so we can park close and away from riff raff.

There is a magnet school (or was) on the same campus that was pretty good. Then there is the regular high school. Both are in a rough neighborhood.

Wouldn’t be a bad idea. There more than likely will be BRPD posted up close to the entrance working $50/hr security detail.
Not like BRPD can be relied on or anything, but the lighted up patrol unit could act as a deterrent against tPOS.
