When the “victim” you fought for turns out to be the victimizer: Sherita Dixon-Cole and the painful consequences of a false report of sexual assault and police misconduct

Many good people fought for this person, a complete stranger to us, out of the goodness of our heart. We were right to fight?—?the system requires us to fight for every ounce of justice we ever get?—?but someone truly abused us in this circumstance. I’m still so genuinely baffled.
He never really apologizes to the cop and his family though.

This is where some Lawyer needs to donate his time and energy to the trooper and sue the frick out of king, this lawyer and her.
Looks like this is happening.

Attorney-turned-radio host Clay Travis took to Twitter to ask when King was going to apologize to the Texas state trooper.
“Entire story was a lie. I hereby offer free legal service to that trooper if he wants to bankrupt you,” Travis wrote.

Hey dipshit, that is called below the legal limit which is ridiculously low to steal people's money in the first place and support a cottage industry.
If she had not made the tape claim, 100% she is found not guilty if she goes to trial.
And oh yeah, your dumbass probably doesn't know this, but your BAC can be higher an hour after being stopped than it is when initially stopped. BAC can
Do you bother to think about what you post before hitting submit?
So you’re saying that retrograde extrapolation is not legal and isn’t used across the country every day, Perry Mason?
So, just so my dumbass is straight, your highly-esteemed legal opinion is that because it takes the officer an hour and a half to conduct a field sobriety test, to explain why she was pulled over, allow her to have a conversation with her fiancé, make multiple trips to get her shite out of the car, wait for the tow truck, complete the necessary initial paperwork and recalculate the breathalyzer, she should be released because she was then a hair under the legal limit? And to top it off, your legal advice to her would be to claim she pounded a quart of vodka when he turned his lights on, so technically she was stone cold sober when he pulled her over? Is that right, Johnny Cochran? #glovedontfitAUanidiot

Clay Travis?
If he wants to win big maybe he should hire somebody better than a guy who hasn’t practiced in years and could only find work in the US Virgin Islands...

He claims he's now a victim. That dude is a total douchebag and now he's trying to get sympathy for trying to ruin someone's life.

Lock her up for at least 20 years.
Accountability is everything.

But criminal defense attorney Nicole Knox says prosecutors may still have another option since the trooper involved and another unrelated trooper who happens to share his last name were threatened by people believing her allegations.
“If she has caused someone to threaten with serious bodily injury or their life then there could be an aggravated assault charge here. It will just depend on the strength, and the believability of the death threats -- whether it's something someone could carry out,” Knox said.
Related Headlines Lawyer apologizes for falsely accusing trooper The lawyer said prosecutors may also be looking closely at Merritt and King.
“The allegations that she's made are awful and damaging and ruined the lives of really good people, but it's the players that came into this information and took it at face value and disseminated it, that are really at fault here,” Knox said.
She believes a civil lawsuit for libel may also be an option, but since the officers' jobs are not at risk it's difficult to assess damages.
“But I think the civil suit is worth pursuing if nothing more than to send a message to victims, to the public, to anyone who tries to think about doing this in the future, that this is not OK, that we are going to standup for the good officers,” Knox said.

Shaun King isn’t well-known. Never heard of her, and neither has anyone I chat with. Then again, we aren’t racist, so maybe in different circles she is, idk.

I'd put money on him speaking with a lawyer on what to write in that Twitter apology. He knows he opened himself up to a lawsuit, and now even possibly felony ag assault charges in TX

God I would love to see Shaun King fricking wrecked so hard by a lawsuit he’s doing heroin under a bridge and shitting on San Fransisco sidewalks. That trooper needs to destroy that motherfricker. Hell, both troopers need to frick his world up. He teed himself up for a massive defamation case.

The woman who made false rape allegations against a Texas DPS trooper will not face any additional charges. The Ellis County District Attorney made the announcement Friday that no criminal charges will be filed against Sherita- Dixon Cole for “blatantly false and malicious allegations” since a formal complaint to an authorized officer was never made. Dixon-Cole was pulled over on suspicion of drunk driving in Ellis County last Sunday. She claimed the trooper raped her during her arrest. However, body cam video of the arrest released on Wednesday disputed her claim.

The officer needs to sue her for slander.
