Unreal story, not sure if y'all can help me varify

I saw a news bulletin that said there was a man found dead in his jail cell,he was an excellent military black guy (not that theres anything wrong with that(...
Seinfeld reference... Anyway he was found to have no brain, heart, or throat.
I saw this on a news app.. It's not a site with fake news though..
Obviously, it's near impossible to believe, but just wondering if anyone else heard

You made it sound like he was found that way.
He died in jail, and when his body was given to his family the organs had been removed.

2. Apparently the dude died and they did an autopsy to determine cause of death and when they sent the body to his family it was missing these organs. The thought is that the autopsy folk or funeral home lost them, or are hiding so that the family cant figure out how he died.
Just what I recall from my wife telling me about it yesterday

If he was autopsied (as he likely was if death occurred while in custody), simply look in his abdominal cavity, and you’ll find the “missing” parts. The organs are often placed there prior to suturing the midline incision at the completion of the autopsy.

The brain, heart, and throat were retained by the coroner for further testing. This isn't uncommon but was misrepresented and sensationalized by the media reports on this non-incident.
