re: What crazy stuff happened in the year 2001 that got overshadowed by 9/11?

That Doctor disappearing (kinda hot). Some reported her going into the building to help. Others dont believe she ever headed to the 9/11 site. Some video footage shows her shopping with an unknown woman. She was never seen or heard from again.

At risk of losing several fingertips because of the effects of the vasopressors? Did she develop DIC (Disseminated Intravascular Coagulation)?

Looks like one game suspension will be enforced.

So which is it? An “average” or a “minimum”?
re: Medics of the OT need help

Likely an enlarged preauricular lymph node. This lymph node basin drains the eye, skin around the eye, area of cheek, and area of the temple. If I’m correct, this is a reactive node attempting to clear something occurring in one of those areas, in your case, the eye.

This is in front of your ear not behind ear, correct?

Very few days have passed since 2001 that I don’t think of the horror of the jumpers of 9/11.

You just compared a subcutaneously delivered mRNA vaccine to 3 orally delivered small molecules and a lip balm. Just a “little” bit of difference.
Thank you for pointing that out. My point exactly—no drug is perfectly safe. I have seen numerous deaths from Advil induced duodenal bleeds and from NSAID induced renal failure. I’ll let you know when I see my first death from a COVID vaccine.

I just don’t trust the mf’ers who made it.
In the case of Pfizer, you trust their Viagra, their Lipitor, their Advil, and their Chapstick, but you don’t trust their vaccine??

Have any of you ever been on call?
Every fifth night of my life for the past decade.

I know nurses will absolutely not make a call unless it’s serious.
You can’t be serious, right? It all depends on the quality and experience of the nurse in question. I’ve been called in the middle of the night two times in my career to get “something for chapped lips.”

I’m not sure what an MD can do in a emergency room.
What does this mean? I’ve seen everything in an ER from a patient being discharged from the triage room because malingering was identified all the way to a chest being opened to perform direct cardiac massage.

In my opinion, a missed opportunity to reference alliteration and onomatopoeia. Still got an upvote

Morning all. It’s been a crazy year and will be a strange Thanksgiving, but the vast majority of us still have so much to be thankful for.

Pork gravy
What is this? Is this pork chops in brown gravy or red sauce with pork?
Really doesn’t matter, I guess. Both sound delicious. Just asking for clarification since I’ve seen this term on the food board, and I’m unsure what it refers to.

Congratulations to you and to your son. Despite all the changes that have affected the field, it’s still an amazing honor to practice medicine.
