Can you explain to me how it is different? Are you referring to just the isolation precautions? The volume can't be the only difference. Are you referring to the fear or contracting the virus yourself? I'm just trying to understand what is driving your response to increase my own understanding.
Are you trolling? On face value it’s obviously different or we wouldn’t be where we are now would we? It would be life as usual no lockdowns no world-wide financial recession. Hep C HIV exposure we have post-exposure treatment for healthcare associates exposure; those are NOT the same as Covid exposure you should I now this. Influenza exposure, not in the same league of virulence, and we have a vaccine to help mitigate.
Why do you insist on saying this is not different than a regular day?

I know a guy works for contractor in plants that won’t let him come to work because his wife is a nurse working Covid patients

Let’s just get rid of all hero worship.
The military signed up for it and get inordinate amounts of welfare. They don’t really deserve us sucking their dick 24/7

I see a lot out there really embarrassing themselves

Honestly I don't think I've seen much self-aggrandizing from the medical community. It's their spouses and family on social media, which I understand. My stepmother is an ICU RN in a small town but has had to deal with some COVID patients and she said it's awful. She's never asked for words of appreciation but people heap it on her anyway. I'm sure it's a morale boost when you're on your 4th 16 hour shift and you see loved ones being supportive.

The same could be said for people who join the military but they get hazard pay for being in a war zone. I'm not dismissing what you are saying just pointing out that if we look at this like a military situation this is more like going to war than like being on a base or maneuvers without anyone shooting at you.
Of course many of those healthcare workers do get overtime pay so...
I can see both sides. But I also get tired of the constant self aggrandizing that so many seem to do these days as both individuals and specific groups.

And to clarify I don’t work in ICU I work on non-critical Covid unit. Anyone requiring more than a venti-mask is getting intubated and going to ICU.
If anything I feel less stress knowing that I have full PPE for every patient encounter, unlike my peers on other floors where who knows if their pt could be asymptomatic carrier or what.

Well then how about staying the f off of TikTok. Your dancing videos suck and TikTok is for kids. No one wants to see your retarded arse shuffling in scrubs.
I have lost a lot of respect for doctors during this covid crisis. RN's always were sluts and whores and attorneys scumbags but now with FB and TikTok you see that most doctors are retarded dumb arse attention seeking gay-assed douchebags.
I'm all for socialized healthcare now. f these medical "professionals". No way they should be making over 80k/year. They are below teachers on the scale of self importance. Teachers don't get paid so they have some leeway with the self adoration. These doctors getting bank and respect no way, not anymore, it needs to stop. Horrible, horrible, people.

Why stress about that? Every single pt in every single hospital since the beginning of hospitals "could be asymptomatic carrier or what" of any number of diseases. However, hospitals made business decisions to not require providers to wear PPE for every pt encounter. Providers made "it's too uncomfortable" decisions to not wear PPE for every pt encounter.

I don't know that I agree with all of that, but for damn sure it looks stupid and exposes some of the truth that a whole lot of health care workers have literally nothing better to do with the time they are getting paid to work than to dance and sing for others on the internet.

Melt. Stop letting social media bother you so much. You also sound a little nuts. Y’all let the weirdest things bother you.

These are the risks we accepted when we went into the field.
Put your head down, do your job.
Sorry for the rant. I'm just sick of the attention grabbing.
bravo...question, were you in the military by chance?

Shut the frick up.
You’re obviously not experiencing the same physical, emotional and mental strain that others who are constantly facing abnormal circumstances. No one signed up for this. I’m a firefighter, I sure as hell didn’t sign up for this, but here we are attending to patients with a deadly virus. Tell us to put our head down and do our job.. lol
I have 7 family members who work in the ER. 5 who have caught the virus, 1 in critical condition. NONE of them signed up for this.
You are bitch, you have no clue what it’s like, you just came to dear Facebook for attention. The same shite you’re crying about from others.
Let these nurses get their glory, they deserve it and stop being a jealous piece of shite.
